      SHARE YOUR SPARE I-Card Cash

      At the end of each academic year many of you have spare money left on your I-Card meal plans. If you don't spend it you lose it! Why not help those who are hungry instead? The pantry shelves at Catholic Charities here in Topeka are looking bare. They need canned fruits, veggies, meats, ramen noodles, pasta, rice, cereals, mac & cheese, peanut butter and jelly. How about visiting the Corner Store or the nearest grocery store to purchase those items?! Drop them off at the Catholic Campus Center at WU during the week or before Sunday Mass and we will make sure to get them to Catholic Charities! Thanks for helping those who are in need! We will be collecting through finals week!

      As a registered member of the Center I thought you might like to have the schedule for the Masses at the Catholic Campus Center at WU. Hope to see you this weekend. 
       
      Last week Fr. Mike Scully spoke following Mass. As you can see from the schedule he will be with us once a month. This is the plan for next semester also. Following those Masses Fr. Mike will give us a reflection on The Gospel in Modern Media. At his website you can check out the Gospel in the top five.  http://www.frmikescully.com/top5.html . 
       

      On Wednesdays at 6:00 pm we meet for Centering Prayer. During Lent we will learn a new type of prayer each Wednesday.

      College is full of new people and experiences, and we hope that your time at Washburn and the Catholic Campus Center at WU will be one of growth in knowledge and faith.
       

       “How do I get involved this semester at the Catholic Campus Center at WU?”  Here are a few of your options:

      • Don’t forget the Sacraments! Come worship with us on Sunday at 6 pm Mass and take advantage of Reconciliation at 5:30pm before  Sundays at 7:15pm
      • Pray the Angelis at Noon Tuesday-Friday in the Holy Spirit Chapel
      • Adoration in the Holy Spirit Chapel Wednesdays 1-5 pm
      • Fridays during Lent pray the Stations of the Cross and then share in Fast Friday Food
